hello all...

i've been home for awhile

but i've been catching up with some friends

and training

so i haven't been online to update and all

but i will slowly try to get back to my usual online pace

in the meantime,

stay healthy and amazing

and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

second day we went to one of the malls in dubai

city centre

can i say it was most boring and blah

yes there are shops like river island and all that

but the prices are the same and nothing caught my eye

i guess i was just sick of shopping and wanna go home really bad

after that we had lunch at chillis and then went to this market/street place

where they sell really cheap clothes and bags etc

omg,the fakes there are like really obvious

we kids couldn't take another second so we went back to the hotel first

and we just slept all the way till night time

we went to the mall of dubai and watched the amazing musical fountain

it's not at all like the one at sentosa

there are so many different shows and music and waterworks

really really beautiful and spectacular

good way to end my vacation i guess

then in the wee hours of dubai

we left for the airport and flew for about 9 hours

and touched down in singapore (:

when we arrived in dubai, i had the worse experience

imagine you're at an international airport

that receives traffic by the dozens or more

and the immigration service standards are like shit

yes, i had to queue for a friggin' 2 hours just to be cleared from customs

after one hour of waiting, i still had like 40 plus people in front of me

the officer was taking his own sweet time to clear the people

and we've been awake for a damn day

after that horrid and long long clearance

we were immediately swept off for a city tour

courtesy of emirates

we went to see all the commercial and tourist-y places

but i gotta admit, the whole group was just craving for rest

so we were the least bit interested in the buildings and all that

but i gotta say, the beaches in dubai is like damn nice

and the wealth of the people there are like WTF!!!

1) the tourguide said "porches here are like bicycles"

2) the houses are all landed and private and they have well-groomed trees growing within their resident perimeters

3) they have one nanny to one kid and a whole other group to do the housework

crazy rich-assed people!

we went back to the hotel for lunch and rest

my family went to have popeyes

not as good as singapore's

then we were picked up to go to the desert

we gotta ride the sand dunes

and have dinner in the desert, bbq-style

there was belly dancing (the dancer was old fat and not entertaining)

and there was free henna and some other dance

where the guy wore many layers of skirts and like kept spinning the whole way through

and twirled and spinned his many skirts and all that in the most amazing fashion

after that it's bye bye desert and hello hotel bed

third day was free and easy again till 4pm

cause we are leaving for the airport and flying off to dubai on a 8pm flight

as usual we shopping again!

first we went to burkingham palace

we walked through the royal park

there was squirrels and wild ducks and birds roaming around freely the park

so cute and interesting!!!

afterwhich we went to oxford street to shop and fight against time!

we had less than 5 hours and so many things to buy!!!

first we went into river island

saw a pair of the mort beautiful nude pumps but it was so high it wasn't comfortable

so i had to let it go ):

after that we went to new look and i found this pair of heels

i love both colours and asked if i can buy both

but dada say no

so i had to choose and i chose the pale one

so now i have a pair of heels to myself that i really liked!

then there's more shopping

and i got 2 tops from new look and a dress from mango

i think that's all q:

i just know there was loads of shopping (:

so happy!

after that, we went back to the hotel via bus

it's kinda the same as singapore's bus service

so it wasn't all that hard

head count and all, we left for the airport

there was a rather long queue but we were soon cleared and headed into the hall

and waited for our flight to board

this time, we were flying over to dubai

for a transit of 2 days and it was via the A380 airbus

it was just the same as any old plane just double the passangers

which wasn't all that wow and awesome

we "celebrated" christmas in the air, flying over dark skies and stale container air

second day is free and easy

(: loads and loads of SHOPPING!!!

first we all met up and left for the underground

in london they have this whole link of transport and the logos are all the same

but the colours and names are different

the underground is like our mrt

and it was the easiest way to travel around the city

we bought a day ticket which was 10 pounds

and then we can travel around via train and bus with no limit

we first went to picadilly street

it's like a whole street of shops like mango and zara and the such

there was also a whole building called hamleys

it's a seven-storey building selling toys

each floor is like catergorized for like boys, girls, preschool etc

we started off at espirit first

and i ended up buying a pair of jeans that was a steal!

S$40 only!!!! (:

fatboy also went to burberry and bought a shirt and it's really cheap for the brand

cause we travelling together with the others,

so we have to set times but it's ohkay

since we can travel and explore together

then we had lunch at nando's!

hahaha, such a rare find to see it in london

then i bought a top from mango as well (:

next we took the train to nottinghill gate

it's like the haji lane of london

there are thrift shops and second-hand shops and antiques and all

interesting place

lastly we went to harrods and along the streets were shops as well!

harrods was having a sale for the past seasons

so fatboy bought a pair of loafers from tod's

and my dada a pair of loafers from bally

each was like S$300 or so

but so worth it cause of the brand quality and make

and this is there first item of indulgence for my dada this whole freaking trip

(: so happy for him!

but it took a hella convincing to persuade him to buy it

cause he kept thinking and broading and overthinking

cause we had so many things to look at and time is running out

we split and i went off with mommy

i ended up buying a top from h&m

(: 2 treasures for today (:

had dinner at a fast food japanese place

wasn't the best, but seeing it from a fast food point of view

it was not bad

tired from all the shopping rushing and walking

getting ready for tomorrow's race (:

about today,

we rushed early in the morning and left the hotel at 8am (europe time)

and left for the train station

we were able to enter swiftly and had about an hour to our boarding time

but there was a slight delay

and while on the way there, there was more delay

so we arrived at london much much later than planned

but no worries

we were picked up and brought to our lunch restaurant

hong kong food in china town

best asian food i swear!!!

then it was time for our city tour of london

we saw the big ben,burkingham palace,tower bridge etc

wasn't really awesome like italy

the facades were all just like ohkay, nothing really wow

but did you know that big ben is not the clock nor is it the tower

it's the bell!

then we went back to the hotel to check in

and had dinner at a fish and chips shop on one of the streets

then back to hotel

it'll be free and easy till 24th afternoon

will be going to picadilly and oxford and maybe harrods

so it's loads of shopping and look-see

nothing much for this day

so first there was breakfast

the scrambled eggs are from the liquid carton one and really sucked balls man

HAIRY BALLS! i took one bite and stopped eating completely...

then we gathered again to have a city tour of paris

we went up the eiffel tower

it was like all that impressive ar

just a view of the city lor yupps

then we had a city tour on the bus cause it's really short and like so many things to see

we just drop off from the bus at various points to take shots

then we had chinese lunch

best out of all the chinese food

then i bought keychains

then it was SHOPPING TIME!!!!

the place was packed and people were fighting to get the sales assistances' attention

for various brands, you had to queue to enter man...

we were queueing for LV

and their system is much different

you had to queue for a longer time,

but when you enter, you are paired with a sales assistance all the way to the end

so if you cheat and sneak in, no one will serve you

after that, we had dinner at a chinese restaurant again

and the service of the staff was FUCKING HORRIBLE

i wanted to slap those people a few times man

damn...

the food wasn't even fantastic sia

then we were on our way to the city cruise

but due to the jam, we missed our cruise and decided not to wait for the next one

and headed back to our hotel

there was an accident on the road plus rush hour

so we took 2 hours to get to our hotel

tomorrow morning, we will be taking the train to london

just today, the train services resumed and we are lucky to be able to leave tomorrow

or they will reject us and drive us out!!!

HI ALL (who reads my blog)

you might have noticed the weird irregular postings

as well as fonts and colour and all that

well, just to explain

in certain hotels, there are no free wi-fi

so i will just type into my lappie

and hence all the "today"s

and the weird fonts

cause i just cut copy and paste

anyway, i will not be posting photographs

cause:

1) it's too cold to take too much photographs

cause my gloves hinder my finger actions

so i have to remove my gloves to take pictures

so my hands get so cold that they can't press the freaking buttons

and it's also a hassle to wear-takeoff-rewear my gloves over and over again

2) my brother didn't bring the cable to upload the photographs into my laptop

3) it'll take forever to choose and upload

so too bad i have no facebook

hence, you'll have to take my word for it

and really, you got to see if for yourselves!

motivation to save up yes?!

less than three

today, our itinerary is a 9 hour travel on the bus

from switzerland to paris

we left in the morning and reached paris at night

my tourguide says that paris is not a safe place

there have been cases of robbery here so we have to be extra extra careful

in his previous group, a guy was outside and he got punched and then the attacker ran away with his bag

and my tourguide's colleague got robbed by some guy who just entered the bus and took his bag

the other passengers weren't familiar with each other yet so they didn't bother

now the other tourguide is stranded in france cause his passport was in the bag

and the french police are less than helpful

so it's really important to be extra extra careful

anyway, we had a run in with some uncouth chinese in the breakfast room today

and my brother went to drive them away

so you see, we were on a tight schedule today so we booked the breakfast room (they have one for groups) at 715

and then the chinese group will share it with us at 730

they didn't listen to their tourguide and were gathered at the dining area at 7am

then before their alloted time, they came in and my tourguide wasn't too happy cause they were "taking" our food and he was afraid we couldn't finish and leave on time

but the hotel staff were too courteous to ask them to leave so we just closed one eye and the staff kept refilling for us

i was almost about to explode cause they shoved and pushed and were just being impossible

but i controlled

then while nicole (gf of my tourguide and a customer too) was pouring milk into her cereal

some chinese man snatched the jug and gave her a dirty look

my tourguide lashed out ans scolded him

it was like we already allowed them to eat with us and yet he had the cheek to be rude and uncouth

then my brother stood up and walked over

then some chinese came to see what was going on and like join in la

then like the chinese were being really fucked up

then one of them said "we are all chinese..."

my brother just shouted "we are NOT chinese"

and he starting walking towards the chinese and they backed out the door

my brother saved the day man

i was about to go and help but he was able to settle it

so it was the end

let's talk about today (:

today was an easy day

it was a free-and-easy day

so we woke up late at 8 had breakfast at 9 and then left the hotel at 11

we went to luzern

it is one of the cities in switzerland

we went to see the lion monument which was a dying lion sculpted in a limestone cliff

it was a gift from france to switzerland cause the swiss mercenaries protected the last king of france from a revolution attack

they could run away but they risked their life and like outta 800 plus, 700 plus lost their lives

the monument is really moving and the face of the lion is really really animated...

the author mark twain said "the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world" when he saw the monument

imagine the skill to get that level of animation

beautiful!!!

then after that we went for lunch at macdonalds

i had a burger called CBO (chicken bacon onions)

hahaha, not super fantastic but guess the total bill

it was like 55.50sfr

and it was a small meal, no upsize

so each person had a 11.10sfr meal!

like OMFG!!!

hahaha, i know...

then we went to a hugeass watch shop

forgot the spelling

my parents were looking at rolex

fatboy at b swiss and calvin klein and tissot

me and skinny at....swatch

hahaha

but we left with nothing cause we didn't see any suitable watches

oh well

my mommy wanted to buy me a swarovski necklace

it was a cherry pendant, really cute and pretty and just divine

but you and i and everyone else know i won't wear it often for it to be worth it

so in the end i asked her not to buy

then it was free time

we went shopping and it was then i got my body issues again

i'm hating my body all over again

my fucking huge gigantic calves and thighs

saw a really cheap comfortable pair of jeans and the most chic pair of heeled boots

fuck, i wanna slice off my calves and thighs

i wanna have nice legs ):

after that we went to the christmas market at the train station

it was like our pasar malam

loads of food

we had crepes and bratwurst (german sausages)

then we had hotdogs

guess how they do it there?

it will sound sick or maybe it's just me

there are metal spears in which the person will use to "drill" a hole into the bread loaf

then she will put the sauce into the hole of the loaf

then she will stuff the bratwurst into the hole of the loaf

but being bratwurst, there will be more sausage than bread, so the remainder will hang outta the bread lor

but it's good la

today we didn't do much

but it was the highlight of my trip!!!

no it's not shopping...

so we woke up for breakfast and then went back to the room

while the others went to shop for swiss watches

mind you, the watches they are getting are like rolex and the works

ranging from 2000 swissfranks and so on

so we just slept

was actually supposed to go walk walk with my mommy but i tired ar

so i just slept (:

then after that we went up the the mountain

first stop was kline schaedegg

we had to withstand the cold of about -6 degrees celsius!

then we went up to the spot of my greatest fun!

we had SLEDGING!!!

it is so freaking fun i wanted to go again

but we only had one run...

me and fatboy agreed to return

back to play

but we have to save save save

cause europe is expensive

and switzerland is even more expensive

my lunch, we first ate in a restaurant to get outta the cold

we had 3 mains and my parents shared a soup

and the bill totaled to 77sfr

then we had rosti and sausages out in the cold

and it was 17.50sfr!

like OMG!!! their stuff are freaking expensive man!

sledging was super fun!!!

at first i was kinda scared ar

cause i can't get the hang of the maneuvering

i only got it as i was going down (:

i was going so fast!!!

my hands and feet were so cold due to the snow!

and my face! it was frozen in place

and i was smiling for like the next hour

cause the cold air just froze it in place!!!

i was the 4th and the FIRST girl down

but i'm not one to brag...
